How can Collaboration help my Team?
Collaboration helps your team have key conversations in the job, and can also help facilitate briefs and links to important resources and information. Add a post to a job, mention a team member and watch the wheels turn all from the comfort of your activity feed.
π The highlights panel
The highlights panel is divided into two main sections to ensure you're fully in the loop at all times.
Dates
This view shows a chronological record of all item due dates, key milestones and invoices related to the job.
Activity
This tab is a live dashboard where key interactions and updates are tracked. It captures everything, from the creation of new items to the approval of quotes and the payment of invoices. Essentially, it's the comprehensive history book of each job you're managing - helpful if you're coming back to a project after a holiday.
You can read more on what's tracked in this view here.
Sometimes, bigger is better. Clicking the open drawer button enlarges the activity log, allowing you to see more entries at once.
Filters
Both tabs allow you to filter what you're seeing, keeping the most vital information front of mind. For example, you may choose to hide the activity log on a daily basis so you can easily jump into job posts.
Click on the filter icon next to 'viewing everything' at the top of the highlights panel.
βοΈ Posts, comments and more
Teamwork is essential for success so we designed a way for you to collaborate and brainstorm with your team, without having to switch tools.
Post your briefs
Job posts are commonly used for:
Client briefs
Meeting notes
Internal brainstorming
and more
Copy and paste the brief for your job, or just go ahead and write straight into a Streamtime post.
To get started, click on the plus button at the bottom of your Activity tab, type or paste your notes and hit save.
Comments
Team members can then contribute comments, allowing for a consolidated discussion about the meeting, all in one location.
A comment is a user-generated entry that can either sit directly in the Activity tab, or within a specific job post. To add a comment, simply type your message into the text box and press enter to send it.
Mentions
You can also tag team members in comments by using the '@' symbol, much like you would on your favourite social media platform.
When you tag someone, they'll get a notification in their activity drawer.
Link to your files
While we focus on helping you deliver projects on time and on budget, we've left file storage to the pros and have enabled hyperlinks so you can keep everything stored within your job.
Paste links to key folders, resources, and research for easy reference for you and the rest of your team.
Head to your preferred partner such as Google Drive or Dropbox, find the share button and paste the link in Streamtime, either as a comment on the activity tab, within a job post or as a comment on a job post. Hyperlinks can also be embedded within your text when used within a job post.
Keep track of your latest comment
Comments in the activity tab can be shown on the jobs list, allowing you to keep track of your job's status.

Head to Menu > Jobs and enable the Column for Latest Comment. Learn how to create and save custom views here.
π Repeating To Do's
Recurring meetings and/or tasks are part of everyone's calendar so we've ensured you can add or update these from the activity panel too, by clicking on the repeat icon from the top of the highlights panel. If you're new to Repeating To Do's, check out this article.
FAQs
Can I upload documents and briefs to Streamtime?
The collaboration feature can be used to hold a file directory of all your important links, so you can use this to link to an external folder that holds your brief and/or important documents relating to the job. You can read more on this above.
Additionally, you can explore how integrations can help you with additional workflows, such as creating a folder in your chosen file storage system whenever a new job is created within Streamtime βοΈ
