Using the activity panel

Keep track of recent or important work, and manage your notifications

Updated over a week ago

šŸ•°ļø Est. time: 3 minutes
ā€‹šŸŽÆ Goal: Quickly see what needs your attention and jump back into important work.

šŸ”‘ Requirements: Access to your Streamtime account

šŸ”” What is the activity panel?

The activity panel gives you quick access to core views across your account. It shows three tabs:

  • Starred: Jobs, quotes, invoices and groups you’ve starred

  • Recently viewed: Work you’ve opened recently

  • Notifications: For when someone needs your attention

Open it from the lightning bolt icon in your menu.

A blue dot on this icon means there’s new activity you haven’t seen yet (usually new notifications). Once you open the panel and view or mark these as read, the blue dot disappears.

To close the activity panel, click the lightning bolt again or click outside the panel.

⭐ Starred

Use this tab to keep important work within easy reach.

You can star:

  • Jobs

  • Quotes

  • Invoices

  • Groups

How to star and unstar

You can star or unstar from a few places.

Recently Viewed tab

Hover over the record and click the star icon.

From within a record

Use the ā‹® three-dot menu in the top right and choose Star.

From list views (jobs, quotes and invoices only)

  • Go to Menu > Jobs

  • Hover over the record

  • Click on the ā‹® three-dot menu on the far right

  • Star Job

Swap "job" in the above steps to achieve the same for a quote or invoice.

šŸ•˜ Recently Viewed

This tab is a chronological list of jobs, quotes, invoices and groups you’ve opened recently.

Use it to:

  • Jump back into in‑progress work

  • Reopen something you looked at earlier without re‑searching

šŸ“£ Notifications

This tab shows mentions on projects, either from a Job in general, or from a specific Job Post within that Job. Learn more about job posts here.

A blue dot appears when you have an unread notification. Purposefully designed to reduce noise, so you only jump in when you're ready.

Each notification includes:

  • The job name

  • The specific post where you’re mentioned

  • A preview of the message

  • The date and time stamp

Click a notification to jump straight to the job or thread.

Marking notifications as read

You can:

  • Address single notifications by hovering and choosing Mark as read.

  • Address all notifications by using the Mark all as read control at the top of the Notifications tab.

šŸŽÆ Extra activity

At the very bottom of your activity, you'll see a link to our referral program should you wish to share Streamtime with a peer and earn rewards.

Depending on your account and recent actions taken, you may also see the following activity:

  • Batch action updates show what you've started and how it's progressing.

  • Days left in your VIP trial (applies to leads that are trialling Streamtime).

šŸ” Global search

Just above the activity panel, you'll see a search icon which will allow you find any Groups, Jobs, Quotes, Invoices, Expenses & PO's in your account, even if you haven’t opened it recently.

You can also access that anytime by using the shortcut CMD + K on your keyboard.

By default, archived jobs or records included in them will be excluded from your search. Simply tick the box to "include archived" if you want to search everything.
