Small but mighty product improvements, bug fixes and ability to plan jobs using roles (available upon request)

Updated over a year ago

🙌 Special Mention

👥 Role Planning (beta)

We’ve been working on making the job page work harder for our customers by allowing you to plan hours based on roles.

In short, you can use team member roles to price your jobs as you would when using team members. This will help to get that quote out before you know exactly who might be working on the job. Once your quote is approved, you can then easily assign those roles to your available team from within the job page or team schedule.

We’re still fine-tuning this functionality, but we’re so excited about it that we’re opening it up to anyone interested in giving it a try and helping us improve before we release it more widely. Just shoot us an email at help@streamtime.net or reach out via the help bubble, and our Customer Success team will be more than happy to turn it on for you.

💅 Improvements

We might have sneaked some small but mighty improvements to Streamtime in the past few weeks, here are a few that you might appreciate:

  • We've changed job status change behaviour to be smarter: when you pause a job or phase, and there are complete items within that phase, Streamtime no longer takes those items out of Complete. This means you can pause jobs or phases when you need to, knowing that Complete items and team members stay Completed

  • When duplicating jobs, your milestones are also being duplicated if choosing to bring a timeline across

  • Apart from marking a phase as 'non-billable', duplicating it or deleting it altogether, you can now assign a team member to an entire phase by clicking on the phase 3-dot menu

  • We've upgraded our internal libraries that significantly improve our internal processes and have a positive effect on the speed of the app (this isn't visible in the product per see but it's a pretty huge deal if you ask our engineering team)

  • Additional non-billable filters and columns are now available across the Jobs List, Time List and WIP Report

  • We now allow users to disconnect from Xero if their authentication is expired (relevant to anyone on a free Xero trial or the ones who cancel Xero)

🛠 Fixes

  • An issue with moving and reassigning scheduled time in bulk within the schedule To Do has been resolved

  • You can now delete the last milestone on the job

  • "Additional information" was disappearing after an auto-save in some instances. We've now resolved it

  • There was a period of time when batch actions had paused in late May. They are now humming along and working as expected

  • In some instances (when a job is planned using fixed-price items), the planned cost calculations on the job did not match the calculations made at the time of a Job Cost Report generation. This is now resolved!

  • Various issues regarding Singaporean tax changes have been resolved

  • An issue with tax types not loading correctly (Quickbooks integration) has been fixed

  • Job page now showcases an actual profit margin, when it gets archived (instead of projected, which isn't relevant any longer)

  • Sending an invoice to Xero from ST cleared the ‘additional people’ from the contact in Xero. It is now resolved and contacts are not being cleared in Xero

  • Clicking a mention notification in the sidebar didn't open the post where the user is mentioned. Fixed
