πŸ‘₯ Role Planning

After a few weeks of running this functionality in BETA, we're now turning it on for everyone on Fixed-price plans! In short, you can use team member roles to price your jobs as you would when using team members. This will help to get that quote out before you know exactly who might be working on the job. Once your quote is approved, you can then easily assign those roles to your available team from within the job page or team schedule.

πŸ’… Improvements

These are improvements to the role planning functionality, only relevant to those who have been trialling the feature. If this is the first time you've seen role planning, it's all included 😎

  • You can now add a team member to all unassigned role time on a phase or the job

  • View unassigned roles on the schedule (jobs and their people) and swap it with a team member in one go

  • Unassigned hours' cost is now included in the Planned & Projected Profit Margin calculations on the job. We'll use the average cost rate of all users with the same role in order to calculate the planned and projected costs on an item level. Roles without users assigned will get disregarded.

  • Unassigned hours' cost is now included in the Total Planned Cost calculations in the Job Cost Report

  • Line items on the Job Cost Report show unassigned roles and average cost rates

  • Total unassigned time on the job is now visible on the Scheduled progress bar

πŸ›  Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with MYOB tax rates not loading for Master Items & Expenses on Invoices

  • Resolved an issue with incorrect tax types appearing for Master Expenses in certain scenarios using Xero integration

  • Improved how "additional information" on an invoice gets copied across to Xero, keeping its original formatting
